Laughter as Medicine

Laughter is contageous. Watch someone laughing and eventually one usually can not help smiling or even laughing out loud right along with the other person.

Many people think that mood causes behavior, but the opposite is also true. Behaviors can lead our emotions, too. Laughing relieves stress, sends oxygen to the brain, and gets the heart pumping.

Today, if I feel sad, I will look for an opportunity to laugh, even if I don't feel like it at first.
