Not all learning takes place in classrooms. Learning does not end when the school bell rings at the end of a day.
Everyone learns differently. Where one person excels in traditional educational settings, reading, writing, and testing, another may learn best by actual trial and error in a real world setting. Discovering how one learns best can be like unlocking a treasure chest of knowledge. Being willing to learn new things means that one must risk admitting they do not know everything already!
Learning new information and skills can be a powerful feeling. For some, fear of failure at the new skill or fear of embarrasment when faced with ignorence in a new situation may stiffle the willingness to risk learning new information or participating in a new adventure.
